Acrylic nails are a beautiful compliment to a manicured hand, and their colors and styles range widely. Standard, neatly polished acrylic nails are the go-to standard for a clean and fresh finished look. At the salon, their cost can be pricey, but with the right techniques, it is possible to master their application. Remove nail polish, trim, and shape the nails properly to prevent infection. Then wash the hands with warm soapy water. Pat dry. Do not apply lotion, as this will prevent the acrylic from adhering properly. Lay out your freshly cleaned instruments. For this process you will need: acrylic nail tips, nail glue, acrylic powder, acrylic liquid, acrylic brush, acrylic primer, nail trimmer, and either an electric nail shaper or a handheld buffer. Find the nail tips that fit your individual fingers and gently apply them using a thin coat of nail glue. Press firmly on the tips for 10 seconds to adhere them.
